Jennifer L. Puchir was behind the wheel of a Nissan Altima on Tuesday night when the car crashed into the center median between exits 11 and 12 on Interstate 287 in Port Chester, state police said in a statement.

When troopers responded to the scene shortly after 10 p.m., they found that Puchir had suffered no serious injuries in the one-car crash, police said.

Puchir was arrested and taken to state police headquarters in Tarrytown, where her blood alcohol content was measured at .18 percent, more than twice the legal limit of .08 percent, police said.

Puchir was later released without bail to the custody of a sober person, police said. She is to appear at 9 a.m. Aug. 8 in Port Chester Village Court, where she faces one count of misdemeanor DWI.
