GREENBURGH, N.Y. --John Jacobs, the co-author of "Life is Good: The Book," visited the RJ Bailey School in Greenburgh last week and spoke to students about living optimistically and positively.
Jacobs, who wrote the book with his brother Bert, mixed words of sunny wisdom with the story of he and his brother's success in a T-shirt and apparel business known for the "Life Is Good" slogan and a happy character called Jake pictured in the company logo.
Jacobs told students that he tries to live his life as optimistically as possible, by abiding by the "life is good superpowers": fun, humor, compassion, courage, gratitude, authenticity, creativity, love, simplicity and openness.
The brothers also created the Life is Good Kids Foundation, which has raised more than $11 million for children in need.
The company's biggest selling T-shirt, created after the Boston Marathon bombing, displayed the words "Nothing is Stronger Than Love."
