The New York State Department of Transportation issued an alert on Wednesday, warning that there will be closures beginning on Monday, Aug. 27 in Mount Pleasant, Greenburgh and Elmsford as crews work in the area.

The closures will be on the parkway between the Bronx River Parkway and the I-287 interchange. They are expected to last from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. from Monday, Aug. 27 through Monday, Sept. 17. Northbound lanes are expected to be closed for the first four days of the project, which will then switch to the southbound lanes for the duration of the construction work.

There will be a posted detour, but the NYSDOT warned that there will be delays in the area during the project. Flaggers are expected to be in the area to help with the flow of traffic.
