East Sunnyside Lane was originally scheduled for milling and paving work on Monday, Oct. 8 and Tuesday, Oct. 9. However, paving operations have been rescheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 10 due to weather.

While crews are performing the project, only local traffic will be permitted on East Sunnyside Lane. The Irvington Police Department noted that there will also be no vehicular access from Broadway (Route 9) through to Route 119.

According to Schools Superintendent Kristopher Harrison, "during this time, only local traffic and school buses will be permitted to travel through this area. Due to the construction, one should expect the possibility of delays with morning bus pick-ups and afternoon drop-offs. However, students should be at their bus stops at their normally scheduled morning pick-up times."

Police said that there will be detours posted. Motorists have been advised to avoid the area, if possible, as there will be “significant delays” until the project concludes.
