A traffic light was down in Holmdel after a crash near an exit for the Garden State Parkway, authorities said. The crash happened at the intersection of Red Hill and Everett roads, according to a Facebook post from the Holmdel Township Police Department at 6:54 p.m. on Monday, May 6. A doctor from Philadelphia who has been working as a librarian at Princeton University but known globally for his scholarly work has died following a pedestrian crash in Scotland. William Noel, 58, was struck by a Citroen Relay van in the evening hours of Wednesday, April 10 in Edinburgh, police in Scotland said.
