2 Dutchess County Inmates Arrested Again For New Crimes
Two inmates at a Hudson Valley jail have been charged with new crimes while behind bars. Dutchess County residents William Green Jr., age 30, of Poughkeepsie, and Craig Albrecht, age 41, of East Fishkill, were charged on Wednesday, May 1. According to Capt. Man Dies At Hospital After Blaze At Home In Hudson Valley
A man died at a hospital following a fire at a residence in Northern Westchester. The blaze happened on Tuesday, May 7 in Ossining in the area of Liberty Street and Spring Street, where a multi-floor residence went up in flames, according to Ossining Police. Arriving fire crews from Ossining and Croton-on-Hudson soon began working to put the blaze out. Dutchess County Man Hit, Killed By Pickup Truck
A 39-year-old Hudson Valley man was struck and killed by a Dodge Ram pickup truck while standing on a roadway in Connecticut. The crash occurred in Hartford County around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, on I-91 north of the Exit 46 on-ramp in Enfield. According to the Connecticut State Police, Dutchess County resident TJ Jennings of Hopewell Junction was standing in the highway's right lane when struck by the truck. Five Hudson Valley teens have been charged with hate crimes for allegedly yelling anti-Semitic slurs and shooting a pellet gun at individuals. An attempted traffic stop on a highway in the region ended with a deputy’s patrol car rammed and the alleged culprit in handcuffs. The Saratoga County incident happened at around 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 6, on I-87 in Clifton Park. Driver Dies In Fiery Crash On I-84 In Putnam County
A person was killed in a fiery crash on a busy Hudson Valley highway, police announced. The incident happened in Putnam County on Monday, May 6, around 7:15 p.m., when a vehicle traveling on I-84 in Kent left the roadway and struck a tree, according to Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police. After hitting the tree, the vehicle went up in flames, Hicks said. The driver, whose name has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the crash has not been released. 90 Cats Rescued From 'Deplorable' Dutchess County Home
Police are investigating after 90 cats were in poor health and deplorable living conditions in a home in the region. Dutchess County Sheriff's Office members discovered the cats at a home in Dover on Saturday, May 4. According to the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office, officers responded to the home for a report of animal cruelty. Alert Issued For Area 13-Year-Old Missing 2 Days
Police are asking for help in locating a 13-year-old girl from the region who has been missing for two days. Saratoga County resident Natalia Andrew, of Halfmoon, was last seen on Saturday, May 4, according to sheriff’s officials. Andrew is 5-foot-4 and 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a black short sleeved t-shirt with white lettering, jeans, and plaid sneakers. Investigators said she may have traveled to south Troy.
